I currently have BOTH of the greatest jobs in the world: Year 6 teacher and Bookshop owner so that reduces the hours that the shop is open. However, from the end of July we will have extended opening hours, just watch this space.
I knew that I wanted to have an entirely fiction driven bookshop and my gorgeous daughter came up with the name. She said it in an entirely nonchalant way but I knew immediately that it was the name of our shop.
Yes! Well..... almost. A small amount of children's non fiction has made it's way in because... well perhaps you can take the woman out of teaching but you can't quite take teaching out of the woman. This is a real golden age for children's non fiction; it has never been so engaging and fun to read.
Yes you can (even if it is non-fiction). I can generally have it in the shop for you within 48 hours.
Primarily to be a fun place to visit. A place where the community can come and look at books, talk about books and hopefully buy books too.
