In addition to having the best customers in the world, we have had some special and surprising visitors since opening in APRIL 2005.

Lovely children's author Lucy Hope visited the shop to sign copies of her brilliant middle grade novels Fledgling and Wren.

The Mayor of Merton dropped in to offer us his support.

Author of the fantastically funny and feisty 'Beast and the Bethany' books, Jack Meggitt-Phillips, visited the shop and signed books for some very excited young customers.

Memorable moments at Only Make Believe bookstore

The Mad Woman briefly escaped the attic and was seen walking, barefoot, around Merton Abbey Mills on Halloween.  She seemed to feel most at home in our bookshop!

A (mostly) friendly swamp witch joined us for Halloween to give out books and sweet treats.

The man of the moment visited out shop in December and officially gave Only Make Believe Santa status.  We are so proud to be Santa stockists - you can now add your favourite things from the shop to your Christmas list.
